First Class Hotel. Perfect location right on the river at pier 13 giving direct access to the river boat. It is also a 5/10 minute walk to Kho San Road. We stayed in the corner room which had view to another building, which was quieter than the city view room (road noisey), but not as nice as the river view which is approx 10 - 15 more expensive. Downside of hotel was service - we ate in the restaurant one evening but would not recommend it as the main meal came out 2 mins after the starter, and the main meal (steak) was not good and nearly cold. Then the bill was wrong....overcharged, however they immediately corrected this. I would recommend restaurant for snack food....sandwiches etc. We also ordered room service for one meal and glass of wine.....they forgot to bring the wine. Apart from this I would definitely recommend the hotel, the rooms were newly & beautifully decorated with good size balconies (perfect if you smoke!)and also for the roof top swimming pool with excellent views accross the city.
Our request was for corner room for 3 nights, for which we received an email confirming availability and requesting payment. I sent payment and then received a further email to advise the room was only available for 2 nights and we would need to change to city view for last night (we had already arrived at hotel). This was our last night before returning to Ireland, so was dissapointing. Tried to speak to reception staff but they did not understand (or pretended not to)- considering their emails were word perfect!!

We were two couples and both our rooms on 4th and 5th floor were very clean and comfortable, even luxury. But we recommend earplugs -as in most hotels in Bangkok. Thai people seems to love karaoke! The location was perfect by the side of pier 13 where you can take the Public shuttle boot to many places and to the Sky Train to go to, for example, Siam Centre. It is also close to Koh San Road. Good breakfast and also many good dishes in the restaurang. But it was the worse service from the young uninterested waitresses. They did not hear us out when we wanted to order, so we had to call them back several times before we had finished our order. Otherwise everything was good and we will sure be back.
We have always been satisfied before. But this time they would not help us to ask the hotel to hold the room the extra night and to be paid directly to the hotel (My card had to be blocked before I had a chance to use it to final pay. My wife s card can only be used in cash dispensers and not to pay with. We were lucky to meet an englishspoken Thai who helped us to ring and book the extra night.

This is a wonderful hotel right on the river and in front of a pickup point for the ferry. We stayed in a room on the road and the room was stunning. Clean,modern and had everything we needed. Free in room WiFi and satelite TV. We kept our curtains closed as the view of street wasn t to great. They do have more expensive rooms looking out to the river which book out fast during holidays. It is a few streets away from Kaho San Road down some really pleasant and interesting roads with good restaurants, chemists where you can get anything you need, cheap massage, haircuts and cheap laundrys done by the weight. Liked these roads better than Kaho San as less crowded. Only noticed one thing. We arrived at hotel before the holidays and the buffet breakfast was really nice and had good variety. However as more people arrived for holidays the buffet breakfast became very ordinary.
PS if you book Tours or have massage do not use the ones next to hotel as they are much more expensive. We booked a tour and paid 1/3 more than the people on the same tour. They booked their tour on Kaho San Road.
Staff were very friendly and professional.

This place is great value for Money! A bit noisy at night time - we had to use the earplugs we were given on the plane as there is a very noisy bar opposite the hotel which would have kept us awake othewise. However the rooms were lovely, the beds were huge and very comfortable, and it was very very good value for Money

Navalai River Hotel has certainly a superb location, directly at the Chao Praya, with a wonderful river terrace
where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast or dinner (both are very fine). From the swimming pool on the 6th floor you have a magnificent view over Bangkok.
Rooms are brand new, with an interesting modern-style interior, incl. the bathrooms, and are equipped with modern air-condition and fan.
The rooms on the street side are a bit noisy, naturally, since they look on
Pra-Athit street, which is very busy at night. The riverside rooms are magnificent, with a large balcony and a view of the Chao Praya, but they cost a few hundred Baht more, of course.
Very convenient is the Pra-Arthit ferry pier which is just behind the hotel, from where the express boats take you up or down the famous riverside sightseeing places.
Booking was made without any problems,
confirmation was sent promptly.
Special thanks to the customer manager of WEBSAWADEE, who was extremely kind and helpful solving an issue with the hotel management, as the booked room category suddenly turned out to be no more available and he arranged to reserve an upgraded room for the same price(!).

Great find! Good location, nice rooms, friendly staff, and good value. The food at the restaurant was very good (we rarely eat at hotel restaurants, but chose to eat there a couple of nights); the only criticism we have is the choice in music played in the evenings at the restaurant, but that s not a major problem! Would definitely stay there again, and will recommend the hotel to others.

We booked into the Navalai River Resort after taking several overnight flights so were very happy to be greeted by welcoming reception staff and able to get into a room straight away!
The room was actually on the riverfront side of the building with a balcony overlooking the restaurant below and the ferry pier so it was great to be able to sit and watch the world go by on the river.
The room was spacious and well designed although my partner wasn t too keen on the window into the bathroom.
We ate lunch in the restaurant which was quite nice and reasonably priced and the breakfast was fine too.
The ferry being right outside was very convenient for getting around to other areas of Bangkok while Kao Sahn road s food/shopping/bars were just a short stroll away.
All in all, we would stay here again.
Have used Sawadee booking service a number of times and never had any problems.

Great place and great location. Clean, modern, on the Chao Pharaya river, and right next to the Phraya experess boat dock and Khao San Road. Would definitely recommend.
Got better rates booking with Sawadee than I was quoted at the front desk.
