According to legend the city was built on the spot where he found his favorite elephant. He felt that the site along the banks of the Kok River was an auspicious one and thus Chiangrai came into being.
The resort provides a very large swimming pool and Chiangrai's largest outdoor whirlpool/Jacuzzi as a jogging trail winding over the whole area of the resort. Additional facilities include the elegant Sipsong Panna Dining room, the pleasant Saenwee Coffee Shop, the Heritage Grill and the cosy and intimate Rimkok Lounge. The refreshing Kinnaree Bar, overlooking the Mae Kok River, provides a glorious view of the surrounding countryside.
